When Will She Get Home?
|
She’s not home yet. I’m waiting. Looking at the clock that says 8:32. I’ve been waiting for 36 minutes now. The wind blows softly from the window. It gives me chills, so I decide to close it. I want to Facetime her, but the computer is broken and there are no other electronics in the house right now. “Ugh! What is taking her so long? It’s scary being home alone,” I whisper to myself.
Now I’m bored. 39 minutes. That’s how long she is taking. I guess I’ll just play cards by myself. I know I’ll win anyway, but I’ll know in 3 minutes. So….I lost. It was against NOBODY! What do I do now? Suddenly, the door opens. “MOM!” I scream. “Why did you take so long at the grocery store?” I shout. “I don’t know,” Mom answers. “Ugh. Next time, I’m coming with you!” |
